
Henry Herbert Malm has been named Acting Director of the National Theatre of Ghana by President John Dramani Mahama. He takes over from Amy Appiah Frimpong who retired in December 2024.
The role benefits from the seasoned media personality’s extensive background in media and communications. Prior to this appointment, he oversaw stakeholder engagement and sustainability efforts while working as Unilever Ghana PLC’s Head of Corporate Communications and Sustainability.
Before joining Unilever Ghana PLC, Henry Malm spent a number of years working as a journalist. He was promoted to this position while working as a news anchor for TV3.
One of the mainstays of Ghana’s performing arts is the National Theatre, which is housed inside the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts. Its goal is to use the performing arts to preserve, advance, and enhance Ghanaian culture.
