2024 Women’s Africa Cup Of Nations: Ghana Drawn In A ‘Strong’ Group

The 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which will be held in Morocco next year, has drawn the Black Queens to play in Group C.

On Friday, November 22, Ghana was drawn and placed in the group stage alongside Tanzania, Mali, and the reigning champions, South Africa.

Group A includes the host country Morocco, Zambia, Senegal, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, while Group B includes Nigeria, Algeria, Tunisia, and Botswana.

Given the groups, it is anticipated that the tournament will be extremely competitive, with Ghana aiming to achieve yet another success.

In addition to games against Tanzania Stars and Les Aiglonnes of Mali, the Queens will play South Africa’s Banyana Banyana, which should be a tough encounter.

Morocco will host the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations from July 5–26, 2025.
