Last year’s Taste of Ghana Festival was a blast, but this year’s event is expected to be better and will include all the holiday treats.
Taste of Ghana is a 360-degree festival that aims to highlight the distinct and authentic traditional richness of Ghanaian-made goods.
These products not only tell stories about Ghana’s rich cultural heritage but also provide opportunities for Ghanaians, Ghanaians in other countries, and people from all walks of life to conduct business and invest.
The festival aims to unite all aspects of the Ghanaian culture that are distinctive, authentic, and traditional; through fashion, cinema, art, food, goods made in Ghana, and other mediums.
From December 20th to December 22nd, 2024, the fifth festival will feature fashion shows, artistic and musical performances, vendor exhibitions of Ghanaian culinary experiences, and more.
In collaboration with esteemed partners like the Diaspora Affairs Office-Office of the President, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Information, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Regional Integration, EximBank Ghana, Ghana Tourism Authority, Ghana Export Promotion Authority, Beyond the Return, and the Ghana Free Zones Authority, the festival creates the environment for various aspects of Ghana’s diverse cultural elements to be highlighted while also boosting trade. These elements include food, beverages, cinema, art, clothing, and art.
This year’s festival will take place on December 20, 2024, at the Forecourt of the Statehouse in Ghana, just like in 2023.
As the signature Christmas program, Taste of Ghana was launched five years ago by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), in partnership with the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) and the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), with assistance from the Ministry of Information and Beyond the Return Secretariat (BTR).

Through entertainment, tourism, and culture, the festival aims to develop Ghana and encourage investments in the country.
Investors can connect with potential local business partners, investigate investment opportunities, and celebrate Ghana’s rich heritage at Taste of Ghana.
That being said, Taste of Ghana is a crucial part of promoting Ghanaian tourism to attract both domestic and international visitors. Taste of Ghana is in line with the goal of the Ghanaian government to make Ghana a popular vacation spot in Africa.
The Taste of Ghana event is free.
