Mary Remmy Njoku, a Nollywood actress, has responded to the recent marital problems between her coworker Annie Macaulay and music legend Innocent Idibia, better known by his stage name 2Baba.
2Baba raised eyebrows when he recently made his split from Annie public.
He shared a video proving he posted the contentious divorce announcement himself, even though he first claimed his Instagram account had been hacked.
According to reports, this has even led to Annie Idibia’s hospital admission.
Regarding this popular issue, Njoku criticized Idibia for “humiliating” Annie at her “lowest.”
She claimed that because of respect for Annie’s difficult decisions, she and other members of her “family” had kept quiet.
However, she warned 2Baba to be ready to respond to inquiries when the time comes.
Isabella and Olivia are the couple’s two daughters. Baba and Annie were married in May 2012.
However, actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia and 2Baba recently announced their divorce. 2Baba wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post,
“I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now. And currently filed divorce.”
He made it clear that his account had not been compromised and that he would issue a press release shortly to explain his position.
Over the years, 2Baba has been under public scrutiny because of claims of infidelity and other marital difficulties. Social media saw a range of responses after the announcement, with some users voicing support for Annie and others raising doubts about their relationship’s dynamics.
Neither party has yet to issue an official press release, and the public is waiting for more information.
