The fourth season of Mr. Bean: The Animated Series, which consists of 52 new 11-minute episodes, was launched on May 5, 2025, in honor of the 35th anniversary of the original live-action series. In addition to acting as executive producer, Rowan Atkinson returns as Mr. Bean’s voice. During a recent interview, Atkinson talked about how much he loves the animation style and how it allows him to be creative, like sending the character into space or down without facing any repercussions.

The comedian and actor has hinted at a live-action comeback in the interim. He has said that a live-action comeback as Mr. Bean is doubtful, although he recently made a suggestion that it is “not an impossibility.”

Atkinson, who also appeared on ‘Good Morning Britain’ to promote the animated series, admitted that he sometimes thinks about playing the part again, although he thinks it is unlikely.

Wearing a red backpack and blue coat, Atkinson was seen filming on London’s Piccadilly Circus in February 2025 while cradling a newborn.
