Antoinette Kwofie, the Chief Finance Officer of MTN Ghana has been awarded the Ultimate Woman in Leadership – Finance at the 5th edition of the Women’s Choice Awards Africa held in Accra recently.
The award given to Antoinette is in honor of her remarkable achievements and success in the predominantly male-dominated field of finance. The award is also to praise her extraordinary administration and eager endeavors in promoting gender and youth development. She was given a plaque and a certificate.
Antoinette thanked the organizers for the award and promised to continue advocating for, empowering, and inspiring women to champion causes that will distinguish them.
On the night, MTN MoMo also received the the Entrepreneur Choice of the Year Award. Part of the citation for the MoMo Award reads,
“In recognition of your unwavering commitment to entrepreneurial success through a groundbreaking mobile money initiative (MTN MoMo), MTN Ghana is hereby awarded the prestigious Entrepreneur Choice of the Year Award. Your visionary leadership has not only transformed financial transactions but has also been a driving force in empowering entrepreneurs and fostering business growth. This award celebrates MTN’s consistent dedication to creating opportunities and facilitating financial solutions making a lasting impact on businesses.”
The 5th Women’s Choice Award Africa’s aim is to recognize, celebrate and project women who stand tall in their fields no matter what the orientation lopsided characteristics and generalizations within our society. The award honors women who use their voices, positions, and presence to support affirmative action causes that empower other females.
This year’s award was under the theme, Empower Her: Celebrating Resilience, Transformation and Digitalization.
