69 Million New Jobs Will Be Created Worldwide By 2027

A new report from the World Economic Forum says that between now and 2027, 69 million new jobs will be created all over the world. On the other hand, 83 million jobs are expected to be cut, which will result in a net loss of 14 million jobs.

The majority of their findings are based on a survey of 803 businesses with 11.3 million employees across 45 economies worldwide.

Some jobs will see an increase in demand over the next five years due to the rise of generative AI and other intelligent technologies while others run the risk of becoming obsolete.

According to the WEF report, these are the ten jobs that will see the fastest growth over the next five years:

AI and machine learning specialists
Sustainability specialists
Business intelligence analysts
Information security analysts
Fintech engineers
Data analysts and scientists
Robotics engineers
Electrotechnology engineers
Agricultural equipment operators
Digital transformation specialists

Over the next five years, demand for AI and machine learning specialists is expected to grow by 40%, adding approximately one million jobs to the global economy. This is because more businesses will use AI to automate processes and better predict customer demand, among other uses.

Unemployment Is A Recipe For Mental Dazedness!

Simultaneously, global endeavors to decrease carbon emission including stricter ecological guidelines and the limitation of supply fastens are leading to a deluge of green jobs across businesses, for example, sustainability specialists and renewable energy engineers.

More than three-quarters of the companies surveyed by the WEF stated that they plan to implement “big data” analytics, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies within the next five years. As a result, the tech industry is home to many of the roles with the fastest growth rates.

The WEF’s managing director, Saadia Zahidi, in an interview said, education, agriculture, and health—in addition to technology, manufacturing, and retail—could see significant job growth as a result of new technologies.

The WEF report is consistent with previous findings from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which also identified jobs in data and renewable energy as some of the jobs that will experience the fastest growth in the United States over the course of the next decade.

Data security experts and information researchers showed up on the two list, as two of the Fastest Growing Jobs between now and 2027 and most popular jobs over the next 10 years.

The two jobs, which normally require a bachelor’s degree, come with six-figure salaries: The median salary for information security analysts in the U.S. is $112,000, while the median pay for data scientists is $103,500, per the BLS.
