
Davido, the multi-award-winning Nigerian singer who has been touring the world with his Afrobeat music for years, has been honored by the City of Houston in the United States for his incredible accomplishments in the music industry.
The City of Houston has designated July 7 as Davido Day.
The final stop on Davido’s “Timeless Tour” in the United States is Houston, Texas, where he sold out the Toyota Arena, which holds 21,000 people.
During the show which was held on July 7, 2023, a representative from Houston City Board Edward Pollard, who was at the show announced July 7 as Davido Day in the City of Houston.
In a letter that portrayed Davido’s impact as a superstar and his contributions to the music industry through his hit songs, Houston City Mayor Sylvester Turner made the proclamation.
Davido’s fourth studio album, “Timeless,” was released on March 31, 2023, and it broke all major streaming platform first-week African records.
