94th Academy Awards: Here Is The Full List Of Winners:

Will Smith who won the award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for “King Richard”

The 94th Academy Awards which was held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California on March 27, 2022, was a beautiful ceremony. However, it also sparked a global talk, as two famous actors – Will Smith and Chris Rock created a scene that got the world talking.

There was a confrontation between these two stars.. As a matter of fact, comedian Chris Rock made a wisecrack about Jada Pinkett-Smith’s hair, which provoked her hubby, Will Smith, to walk up to the stage to smack Chris Rock in the face while he was just about to present the Best Documentary Award.

Quickly, ABC cut out the mics immediately the two actors began yelling at one another. But unluckily, uncensored global feeds got the two stars hollering obscenities at one another.

The confrontation was a shock to everybody, particularly taking a gander at these two famous stars, who are not known for such scenes.

Interestingly, Smith who won the award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for “King Richard” apologized to the Academy and his kindred nominees minutes after the fact.

“Love will make you do crazy things,” he said.

On a lighter note, Smith said he was a “fierce defender” of his family, very much like his character Richard Williams in “Lord Richard.”

The Apology:

“I’ve been called on in my life to love people and to protect people and to be a river to my people and I know to do what we do you got to be able to take abuse, you’ve got to be able to let people talk crazy about you, you have to be able to have people disrespecting you and you’ve got to smile and pretend that that’s okay,” he said, seeming to refer to the incident with Rock.

Smith ended his speech, saying

“I hope the Academy invites me back.”
