A Complete Breakdown Of Chris Brown’s London Arrest

Due to an alleged incident that took place at the Tape nightclub in London’s Mayfair neighborhood in February 2023, American musician Chris Brown has been arrested and charged with grievous bodily injury with intent in the United Kingdom.

Music producer Abe Diaw, the accused victim, says Brown repeatedly hit him on the head with a Don Julio 1942 tequila bottle and then kept punching and kicking him after he collapsed to the ground. After being admitted to the hospital, Diaw sued Brown for $16 million in October 2023, claiming that her injuries were severe and long-lasting.

On May 15, 2025, at around two in the morning, Brown, 36, was taken into custody at Manchester’s The Lowry Hotel, just after traveling to the UK for his “Breezy Bowl XX Tour.” He is still being held and is expected to appear today, May 16, at Manchester Magistrates’ Court.

Brown’s ten-date UK tour, which was scheduled to start in Manchester on June 15 and include stops in Glasgow, Cardiff, London, and Birmingham, has been clouded by the arrest. The goal of the tour was to commemorate his musical career’s twentieth anniversary.
