
A Northampton-based Ghanaian man says he is very fulfilled and feels highly satisfied after seeing the Ashanti King, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. As per the said man, he is now ready to meet God after having this huge chance to give proper respect to the Asantehene.
The man, who is a head of the Asanteman Northampton group, was among the large numbers that gathered at the Middle Temple Garden in London on Sunday, August 4, 2024, for the sixth Akwasidae festival that was hosted by the Asantehene.
In the same way as his other colleagues, he decided not to miss the unique chance of seeing Otumfuo. Meanwhile, event’s venue was taken over by a beautiful Asante culture and tradition.
It’s interesting to note that when it was his turn to honor Otumfuo, he publicly expressed the excitement he had been feeling inside and threatened to burst when he said he had achieved self-actualization.
The man, in the wake of meeting His Highness, wished for death.
“I am very excited standing here today. I will be pleased to die today after this opportunity to stand before my lord. God bless him. I will be pleased to peacefully die today because it is my god seated there. I am excited today because I feel fulfilled today standing before my lord.”
The King attended the festival in London with more than 20 Asante and Ghanaian expat groups. Nananom Progressive UK, Asanteman Europe, Asante Students Union UK, Asanteman Association of UK, Asanteman Europe, Asanteman Association in Belgium and Asanteman Northampton.
