As part of the December In GH line-up of events coming up this December, a beautiful African theatre is set to be shown on Saturday December 2 and 3 at the National Theatre, in Accra-Ghana.
‘The Gods Are Not To Blame‘ is a show-stopper, that is based on the Greek classic “Oedipus Rex” by Sophocles, adapted by Ola Rotimi. The play explores themes of fate, destiny, and the human condition in an ancient African kingdom.
It follows the journey of Odewale, a newly installed King, as he tries to unwind the secret of his ancestor’s homicide and the insider facts that haunts his genealogy. Through a progression of twists, revelations, and tragic events, the play delves into the complexities of human existence, the consequences of one’s choices, and the inescapable nature of destiny.
