Abeiku Santana Named The New GTA Deputy Chief Executive Officer

President John Dramani Mahama has named Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey, well known as Abeiku Santana, as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA).

The well-known media personality and tourism advocate’s appointment was made public on February 26, 2025. This role is intended to help Ghana realize its goal of being a world-class travel destination.

Abeiku Santana has played a significant role in advancing Ghana’s tourist business by showcasing the country’s festivals, cultural history, and hotel industry through his media influence.

The “Year of Return” and “Beyond the Return” campaigns, which have greatly increased Ghana’s appeal to tourists worldwide, were spearheaded by him. He has a Master’s degree in Tourism Management from the University of Cape Coast.

As the GTA’s Deputy CEO, Abeiku Santana will lead creative marketing, build industry alliances, and improve Ghana’s standing in the world of tourism.
