
Ghana’s capital city Accra is set to have a creative and cultural event – Accra Art Week 2023, to celebrate artistic expression, cultural variety and community a commitment.
The week-long art extravaganza, which will run from December 20 to 23, will highlight the stunning talents of both local and international artists and provide a dynamic venue for them to interact with the general public.
This year’s event which is themed ‘Art from Accra is Borderless‘, expects to feature the rich embroidered artwork of creative articulation, stressing the assorted viewpoints and gifts that add to Accra’s Arts and culture scene.
The event will have talented artists, art aficionados and inventive personalities from Accra and some more. Art fans and visitors will be directed through the city’s most innovative spaces by means of a progression of exhibitions, pop-ups and performances.
In addition, the exhibition will feature the works of both established and upcoming Ghanaian and African artists and designers. This will consolidate with a powerful program of talks, workshops, art auctions, film screenings and tours.
The primary objective of Accra Art Week is to support Accra’s position as a leading arts destination in Africa and the world by generating local support for the creative sector.
