Saint Obi, a well-known Nollywood actor and film director, passed away at the age of 57 following a protracted illness.
As per several reports, on the night of Saturday, May 13, 2023, the actor gave up the ghost with an undisclosed sickness earlier in the week.
On Sunday, May 6, 2023, the well-known Nollywood actor was reportedly seen at his sister’s house in Jos, the capital of Plateau State.
The actor’s remains, according to sources, have since been deposited at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) in Nigeria.

Saint Obi, who was born Obinna Nwafor, made his acting debut in a 1996 in a NTA Peugeot TV commercial. After that, he appeared in a number of critically acclaimed films, including ‘Candle Light’ and ‘Goodbye Tomorrow, and some others.
He played significant roles in more than 100 films, including “Sakobi,” “Festival of Fire,” and “State of Emergency,” among many other well-known productions that shaped his outstanding acting career.
