ADB Holds A Special Annual Cocktail For Farmers

The 2024 Award Winners and other important agricultural stakeholders, such as government representatives, ADB employees, and other industry participants, attended the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) PLC’s Annual National Farmers’ Cocktail at Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park in Accra.

On behalf of ADB’s MD, Alhaji Alhassan Yakubu-Tali, the Deputy Managing Director (DMD), Madam Eno Ofori-Atta, underlined the vital role that farmers and fishermen play in maintaining the country’s economic stability and food security.

After their unwavering commitment and contributions to the agricultural industry, the bank honored its distinguished and diligent farmers and fishermen on a very special evening.

The occasion, which took place prior to the 2024 National Farmers’ Day celebrations, provided a forum for networking between agricultural stakeholders, such as farmers, executives, and legislators.

The initiative is proof of ADB’s dedication to helping its brave Farmers & Fishers and its original goal of offering financial intermediation to the agriculture industry.

At this year’s farmers awards ceremony on Friday, November 8, 2024, ADB gave the National Best Farmer a substantial prize of GHC 1 million as part of the bank’s sponsorship package.

The Managing Director conveyed appreciation and excitement for this noteworthy honor, which honors exceptional accomplishments in fishing and farming.

The MD reiterated ADB’s dedication to funding agricultural projects that address these issues, increase food security, and foster the creation of jobs for young people.

ADB will remain at the forefront of funding the production of food and other post-harvest operations.
