
On Sunday, September 1, Adele announced that she would take a long break from music when her residency in Las Vegas ends in November. She had previously stated in an interview that she does not intend to do so, but this time, she had to.
At a recent concert in Munich, the 36-year-old singer informed the audience that she will be retiring from the public eye “for a very long time” when her residency in Las Vegas ends in November of this year.
She posted on X (previously Twitter) tending to her fans,
“I have 10 shows to do, but after that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time, and I will hold you dear in my heart.” Fans flocked to the comments section of the footage, expressing their sadness and noting they’ll “miss her.”
Adele needed a six-year break between her last two albums, 25 and 30.
Between October 25 and November 30, she will perform the final ten shows of her “Weekends with Adele residency” at Caesars Palace’s The Colosseum.
The dates were initially scheduled for March, but Adele postponed them in February so that she could rest her vocal chords.
On Sunday, August 31, the 16-time Grammy winner ended her residency in Munich. The residency, which started on August 2 and was held at the outside scene Messe München, was the first time the singer performed in mainland Europe since 2016.
Adele recently talked about being missing in action without a trace for some time while addressing the German outlet ZDF in July, revealing she has no plans for a new music. At the time, the singer of “Easy on Me” stated that she intends to pursue other creative endeavors instead.

She will, however, be taking a significant step in her personal life during this break, as she appears to have confirmed engagement rumors regarding her romance with sports executive Rich Paul.
The couple originally ignited dating bits of hearsay in July 2021 when they were spotted at an NBA finals game courtside together. From 2018 to 2022, Adele was married to Simon Konecki, with whom she has an 11-year-old son named Angelo.
