Adele receives the Mastercard Album of the Year award for “30” during The BRIT Awards 2022 at The O2 Arena in London

Adele’s “30” Album, which has for quite a while been a big conversation by music fans and pundits all over the world, won the Album of the Year Award at The BRIT Awards 2022 at the O2 Arena on February 08, 2022 in London, England.

’30’ broke music records for several weeks after the release of this album on Friday November 19, 2021. It was listed as the fastest selling album of 2021 in the US and UK.

“30” also became the Best Album Of The Year in the US just a short time after release, according to MRC data revealed by Billboard.

Selling more than 660,000 indistinguishable album units – which include sound and video streaming and individual track sales – “30” led all other major releases of 2021.

Adele showed up at the top position in the album chart in the UK, with first-week sales of 261,000 according to the Official Charts. The official charts said, it was the biggest first week for an album since Ed Sheeran’s “Divide” (÷) in 2017.

The album’s lead single “Easy on Me” ensured a sixth progressive week at number one on the UK singles charts, resulting to breaking the record for most streams in a singular week after its release.

The Official Charts said Adele was the only female artist with somewhere around three studio albums to reach at number one with all of her records – a title she has now settled further with “30,” which indicates her fourth number one.

All the same, “30” has not actually hit the heights of Adele’s third studio album, “25,” which became the fastest selling album ever in both the US and the UK in 2015 – selling 800,000 copies in the UK and 3.3 million in the US.
