Africa Basketball Festival: Ghana Beats USA In The Final

In an exhilarating standoff at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra, Team Ghana came up victorious against a select side representing the USA with a final score of 48-33 in the Africa B-ball Festival on Sunday December 17.

It was a tough battle between the University of Ghana and Accra Technical University (ATU), but the latter were the possible victors. But interestingly, everyone’s attention was on the confrontation between Ghana and the USA.

Ghana procured their spot in the final after beating Togo with a score of 43-32, while Team USA booked their place by beating France with a final score of 21-17.

The final saw a display of solid talents and skills from the two countries, each competing for the sought after title prize.

The host nation, Ghana, prevailed over their American counterparts by a score of 48-33 after four quarters of a thrilling basketball game. Notably, the Spintex Knights duo of Treasure Botchway and James Amotoe were crucial to the Ghanaians’ victory.

In front of their home crowd, Ghana went all out to win. They were determined to do so. Coach Sam of Ghana praised the contest’s high level of basketball play.

Team Ghana’s captain, Treasure Botchway, commended his team for their rebound halfway through the match. Team Ghana’s victory over Team USA at the Africa Basketball Festival is a significant accomplishment.
