
A courtesy call was made to Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), Minister of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, by representatives of the Global Entrepreneurship Festival (GEF).
The Minister highlighted the government’s dedication to fostering digital innovation and entrepreneurship in Ghana while expressing his excitement for the festival during the meeting.
Citing projects like the “One Million Coder” program, the Minister highlighted Ghana’s potential in AI-powered enterprise.
“We’re building a digital ecosystem that will drive entrepreneurship and innovation in Ghana. The GEF is a fantastic opportunity for Ghana to showcase its entrepreneurial spirit and innovative potential”, he said.
Additionally, Hon. Samuel George talked about possible partnerships and investments between foreign investors and Ghanaian companies.
He emphasized Ghana’s advantageous position, which makes it a perfect center for African innovation and entrepreneurship.
The Minister also discussed the government’s initiatives to support entrepreneurs, such as the creation of a bill pertaining to innovation and startups.
The meeting’s highlights focused on:
• GEF Festival Details: The festival is scheduled for November 21-23, 2025, and aims to attract 10,000 to 12,000 delegates.
• Potential Collaborations: Discussions centered on potential collaborations and investments between Ghanaian startups and international investors.
