Akua Amoakowaa Has Urged Those Insulting On TikTok To Rather Focus On Quality Contents

Akua Amoakowaa, former Ghana’s Most Beautiful queen and an entrepreneur, has expressed concern regarding the rise of cyberbullying and explicit contents on the video-sharing social media platform TikTok.

She emphasized the necessity of regulation to safeguard users in a recent interview with Joy News.

As a mother, Akua takes a firm position on protecting her kids from TikTok’s destructive impacts.

She disclosed,

“My kids don’t have phones because of TikTok.”

The CEO criticized the growing number of insults on TikTok, particularly those directed at elderly people by younger users.

She also criticized the rise in narcissism on the platform, blaming young people who are chasing fame and stardom without considering the repercussions.

“I know most young people want to be stars, you want to be celebrities, and you call yourselves celebrities on Tiktok. But what are you doing that you think you deserve to be celebrated that you are calling yourself a celebrity. It’s not about attaining the celebrity status. The most important thing is how you get there or what you do to attain that status”, she said.

Akua Amoakowaa made the most of the opportunity to remind those who engage in these social vices to concentrate on producing high-quality content for a respectable income.

“You should have money in your pocket when you are popular. You insult people and you become popular, and at the end of the day you sit in trotro; so what have you achieved? Zero, nothing,’’ she emphasized.

Akua warned that frequent online insults can make people less appealing to brands and partners.

The Impact Of Women Entrepreneurs In The World

She reminded users, particularly young ones, that positive content can also propel them to fame, so she encouraged them to reconsider their strategy.

She urged them to create useful content.

“People are using the internet for profitable things. Let’s change the kind of content we put on social media, on TikTok most especially. Let’s put content that would want people to associate with you. I saw Teacher Blessing coming. And now the kind of following she has amass for herself, it’s crazy. And she is doing something wonderful,” she reiterated.
