Al Hilal Plot Swoop For Man United Skipper Fernandes

The thirty-year-old captain of Manchester United, Bruno Fernandes, has attracted the attention of Saudi Pro League team Al Hilal.

Hilal is set to sign players during a special early transfer window from June 1 to June 10 in preparation for their participation in the Club World Cup next month.

One of United’s most important players, Fernandes is not for sale, according to United’s boss. Head coach Ruben Amorim has even referred to his captain as one of the best players in the world.

As they are ready to represent Saudi Arabia in the newly expanded tournament in the United States next month, Al Hilal has Fernandes on their list of players to target.

They play Real Madrid in Miami on June 18 in their first match in the group, which also includes Pachuca, RB Salzburg, and Real Madrid.

Former Premier League players including Khalidou Koulibaly, Aleksandar Mitrovic, and Ruben Neves are currently part of their team.

Bruno Fernandes signed a new United deal last summer that runs until 2027 with a one-year extension option. In January 2020, United acquired him from Sporting for a maximum of £68 million.

Fernandes has recently acknowledged that his future may not be certain, despite his desire to remain at United.

“I’ve always said I will be here until the club says to me that it’s time to go,” Fernandes said. “I’m eager to do more, to be able to bring the club to great days.
