
Kevin De Bruyne has purportedly agreed on personal terms for a transition to Al-Ittihad. The Manchester City playmaker’s contract at the Etihad Stadium is only one year away from ending.
In the past, De Bruyne had stated that he was “open” to joining the Saudi Pro League.
The Belgian midfielder’s current contract with the club is set to expire at the end of the 2024–25 season, after nearly a decade at the Etihad.
In February 2024, the Saudi Pro League, which was just starting out, had De Bruyne on their list of top targets. Now, officials are ready to work harder this summer to sign the Champions League winner.
Al-Ittihad reportedly agreed to terms with De Bruyne for a move, according to current reports.
The report goes onto guarantee that discussions are progressing between Al-Ittihad and City concerning a transfer fee for the 33-year-old, who showed up in Manchester from Wolfsburg for £55million back in 2015.
De Bruyne could join the likes of Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante at the Saudi Pro League team after a highly successful nine years at Man City, where he won 15 trophies.

‘At my age you have to be open to everything. You’re talking about incredible amounts of money in what may be the end of my career. Sometimes you have to think about that.’
“If I play there for two years, I will be able to earn an incredible amount of money. Before that I had to play football for 15 years. I may not even reach that amount yet.
‘Then you have to think about what that could mean next. But at the moment I haven’t had to think about that yet’, De Bruyne added.
De Bruyne claims that he has extensive discussions regarding this with Michele Lacroix, his wife. It is said that Lacroix is open to new experiences.
