All About Gospel Singer Lebo Sekgobela

Lebo Sekgobela

Lebo Sekgobela’s celestial voice is the thing that drove me to find out about this unbelievable artist. Lebo was raised by a single parent who was a domestic worker yet that didn’t burden her in her journey to be one of Africa’s best gospel artists.

Lebo Sekgobela has performed in several countries around the globe which incorporate Chicago, Lesotho, Botswana, New York, London and that’s only the tip of the iceberg. The South African whose mind boggling voice and songwriting ability is stand-out, has such a great amount of following due to her well established brand.

Lebo Sekgobela is the fourth most-streamed female craftsman in South Africa on Apple Music. Known as the gospel powerhouse, Lebo has been in the Gospel music fraternity for quite a while with many hit tracks. The 38 year old Gospel genius, began her singing profession at an exceptionally tender age and tried out for a few music shows so as to get her music out there but didn’t succeed.

At a point, she almost abandoned music but continued pushing ahead to ensure her fantasy to be an artist emerged. The ‘Lion of Judah’ hitmaker started singing at chapel shows and had the chance to travel outside the shores of South Africa with top South African Christian evangelists. From that time, she has worked with conspicuous artists in South Africa and even beyond.

With support from her hubby who serves as her manager, her entrance into the mainstream music wasn’t a fluke as she was a support vocalist for award winning performer Vicky Vilakazi and also worked with Joyous Celebration members, for example, William Sejake.

One uncovering thing about Lebo Sekgobela is that, a great number of people have not noticed that her voice is the one behind South Africa’s TV SABC 1 show Khumbulekhaya’s melody. With seven (7) collections to her credit, she plans to increase them to a tremendous brand more than she is today.
