
The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards was set to honor the best in U.S. Primetime TV programming from June 1, 2019 until May 31, 2020, as picked by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, yet for specific conditions, the date had to changed.
The ceremony was initially billed to be held at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was changed for all intents and purposes from the entertainers’ homes across the U.S. and, will be held Today Sunday, September 20, 2020.
The event will be broadcast in the U.S. by ABC. The extraordinary ceremony was preceded by the 72nd Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards on September 14 through 17, and it was a success.
The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards is presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and Produced by: Done and Dusted, Reginald Hudlin, Jimmy Kimmel. It is also Directed by Hamish Hamilton.

Meanwhile, the nominations were Announced on July 28, 2020 by Leslie Jones, Laverne Cox, Josh Gad, and Tatiana Maslany. Watchmen lead the nominations with 11, followed by Succession with 10 and Ozark with 9.
The event will be held on the 20th September, 2020 at 8PM ET on ABC, with Red Carpet beginning at 6.
