Held on May 5 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the 2025 Met Gala featured the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” highlighting Black dandyism and its significant impact on fashion.

The event, which was co-chaired by Pharrell Williams, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, and Colman Domingo, celebrated the heritage of Black designers and cultural icons by using symbolic storytelling and daring fashion statements.

In keeping with the evening’s celebration of Black culture, Lewis Hamilton honored his West African ancestry by dressing entirely in white and embellished with cowrie shells.
