As part of preparations towards the maiden edition of the Built Environment National Conference on Housing and Hydrology (BENCHH) 2024, the Sector Deputy Minister and Chair of the Planning Committee, Hon Prince Hamid Armah (MP) has met with various stakeholders in the building, construction and finance industries to discuss how their respective partnership and expertise can be leveraged to successfully organise what will eventually become an annual event.
Stakeholders such as developers in the real estate industry, manufacturers of building materials and financial institutions as well as media partners have been engaged by the Sector Minister to put up a successful maiden edition.
The BENCHH 2024, scheduled to take place at the Labadi Beach Hotel from July 2 to July 4, 2024, under the theme “Enhancing Collaboration to Tackle Ghana’s Housing and Hydrology Challenges”, is part of the sector Ministry’s commitment to addressing critical challenges confronting the housing and hydrology sub-sectors of the national economy.
The 3-day Conference is expected to bring together renowned experts, industry players and other stakeholders to discuss, share insights, and craft innovative solutions aimed at fostering a more sustainable built environment sector in Ghana.
The Conference is to provide the appropriate platform to identify practical solutions to critical hydrology and housing challenges while fostering sustainable and resilient development within Ghana’s built environment sector.
Stakeholders are optimistic that the Conference will culminate into actionable measures to foster policy directions address the myriads of challenges in the built and hydrology sectors. The outcomes are also expected to result in actionable resolutions, potentially leading to the amendment and creation of new policy directions.
BENCHH 2024
Themed “Enhancing Collaboration to Tackle Ghana’s Housing and Hydrology Challenges,” the Conference is designed to bring together a diverse group of participants, including researchers, practitioners, financiers, material developers, policymakers, and other stakeholders.
Through moderated panel discussions and collaborative sessions, attendees will explore innovative approaches to industry challenges and develop actionable recommendations to inform policy making.
