
The inaugural Electric Revolution Africa (ERA) E-Mobility Conference was held this week at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, in Accra.
The event, which focused on Innovation and Sustainability, provided an engaging platform for policymakers, development partners, and industry leaders to to gather and talk about basic issues in the e-mobility space.
The participants discussed ways to maximize business collaboration to address pressing policy issues, capitalize on opportunities for sustainable e-mobility, and accelerate the ecosystem’s growth in Africa.
At the event, a number of speakers spoke, including Yofi Grant, CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC).
Yofi Grant emphasized the enormous potential that the e-mobility industry holds for Ghana and Africa during a panel discussion on trade and investment in the electric revolution, highlighting success stories like Wahu Mobility.
To ensure the sector’s success, he added, it is necessary to evaluate the fundamental issues, carry out extensive research and development, and influence consumer behavior.
He also talked about the government’s efforts to create a national e-mobility framework to help the industry grow and become more appealing.
The ERA Conference closed with a show of state of the art EV technology, allowing participants to observe firsthand, the creative arrangements accessible in the e-mobility market.
