On Wednesday, October 2, the 20th Africa Movie Academy Awards unveiled 26 categories to honor creativity in African filmmaking.
These awards were given out in a variety of categories in the African filmmaking.
A list of movies about the filmmaking industry in Africa was announced at the event, which featured prominent filmmakers.
Jackie Appiah, Ghana’s most adorable actress, received a nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her outstanding performance in “Red Carpet.”
Famous Nollywood filmmakers attended the event at the luxurious Sheraton hotels in Ikeja, Lagos, where the nominations were unveiled.
Dorothy Werner, the jury’s head, praised the nominees for their originality.
Raymond Anyiam-Osigwe, chief executive officer of the African Film Academy, which organizes the African Movie Academy Awards, expressed gratitude for the partnership and support of sponsors and the major partner, the Lagos State Government, over the years.
AMAA Coffee Book Launch comes off on October 25, AMAA African Legend Night on November 1, and Fashion and other Exhibition Shows.
Also, ‘AMAA Meets Nollywood’ are among the events planned for this year’s event.
