At the 2024 Venice Film Festival, Angelina Jolie’s film ‘Maria‘ received an extraordinary eight-minute standing ovation, showing how deeply it resonated with the audience.

As a result, Jolie wept. She shared minutes with the director of the film Pablo Larraín. As a matter of fact, the film did exceptionally well at the 2024 Venice Film Festival.

On August 29, Jolie received an eight-minute standing ovation from the audience at the film’s premiere at the Sala Grande Theater. The commendation made Jolie apparently close to home, with the actress and humanitarian crying as she took in the crowd’s appreciation.

She turned away face from the hailing crowd and embraced director Pablo Larraín and a cast member, pondering the film’s ardent reception. Jolie spoke about the personal significance of her role as the late opera singer Maria Callas prior to the premiere.
