
Tragically, Grammy-nominated R&B and neo-soul vocalist Angie Stone has died. Famous for her popular song “Wish I Did not Miss You,” she passed away at age 63.
The occurrence happened close to Montgomery, Alabama, early on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Stone and her bandmates were on their way to Atlanta following a show in Mobile when their Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van was involved in an accident. The van overturned and was hit by a tractor-trailer. At the scene, she was declared deceased.
Being a part of the groundbreaking female hip-hop trio ‘The Sequence’ in the late 1970s marked the beginning of Angie Stone’s remarkable career. After that, she had a lucrative solo career.
In 1999, she released her debut album, “Black Diamond,” which included hits like “No More Rain (In This Cloud)” and “Life Story.” “Mahogany Soul,” her 2001 album, featured her most well-known song, “Wish I Did not Miss You.”
Stone collaborated with well-known musicians like D’Angelo, Alicia Keys, Missy Elliott, and Snoop Dogg on ten solo albums during her career.
