Are We In To See A Better Joseph Parker And Daniel Dubois Bout ?

Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker

At Wembley on September 2, Daniel Dubois defended his first IBF world heavyweight title by knocking out Anthony Joshua in the fifth round.

It took a shocking knockout punch from Dubois to end his fight with Anthony Joshua. In fact, prior to the dramatic fifth-round knockout victory, Dubois floored the two-time world champion four times.

In contrast, Joseph Parker, who has won his last two fights against Zhilei Zhang and Deontay Wilder, has said that he would love to fight Dubois.

Joseph Parker has stated to his promoter that he hopes to ‘destroy’ Daniel Dubois, the British world heavyweight champion, and that he “would love” to fight him next.

Parker has urged his promoter, David Higgins, to pursue a fight against the IBF champion, and he does not appear to be intimidated by Dubois’s actions against Joshua.

“Joseph would love to fight Daniel Dubois next, he’s chomping at the bit,” Higgins claims.

“Joseph is willing to fight anyone, but if he had the chance to fight Daniel Dubois, he would grab it with both hands and bet himself on winning.”

“I think besides Fury vs Usyk II, Parker vs Dubois I think – in the heavyweights – will be the best fighting the best.” he told Skysports.

Joseph Parker won a majority decision over Zhilei Zhang in Saudi Arabia and then beat Deontay Wilder to win the WBO interim heavyweight title.

Parker has been working extensively with George Lockhart during the offseason to increase his strength and size.

Anthony Joshua Stopped By An Explosive Right Hand By Dubois

Parker has consecutively beaten the absolute hardest opponents in the world. And so, Daniel Dubois does not frighten him.

According to Higgins, ”He’d fight him anywhere, anytime and back himself to beat and knock out Daniel Dubois.”

“I think the stamina, the energy that Dubois brought to the ring, it was totally one-sided and Joshua looked shell shocked throughout the fight,” Higgins explained. “I’d say it was more dominant than Andy Ruiz’s victory over Joshua.
