However, the pop star responds in the comments of the viral TikTok video that sparked the entire controversy by saying, “Not so fast.”

Ariana claims that, in order to maintain her vocal health, she intentionally shifts her vocal placement between high and low depending on how much singing she has been doing. She claims that she has been practicing this habit for the past two years.

A similar issue recently came up when Ariana introduced an award at the 2024 Oscars and she said she worked energetically to change her voice for her featuring role in “Wicked.”

She stated, “I’ve always done this BYE.”
