His Excellency Bishop Dr. Akwasi Adu Amankwah, a United States Ambassador to the United Nations Assembly, has portrayed the King of the Ashanti Kingdom Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as a groundbreaking leader whose rule has brought honor and distinction to his kin, Ghana, and Africa in general.
Dr. Adu Amankwah revealed in an interview at the Manhyia Palace that, since the rule of Otumfuo as the tenant of the Golden Stool in 1999, he has been a unique ruler whose majesty has brought greatness not exclusively to the Ashanti’s but also to Ghana and Africa on the global stage.
H.E. Minister Dr. Adu Amankwah, who is the Commander of the Most Noble Peace Ambassadors, expressed that the Asantehene has not exclusively been uncommon in promoting Ghanaian culture worldwide, however his particular commitments to education, health, and infrastructure are clear.

Dr. Adu Amankwah was speaking in an interview during the first Akwasidae of the year at the Manhyia Castle on Sunday, January 7, 2024. The Honourable Member of the UN Assembly emphasized that “Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is an embodiment of love, peace, wisdom, truth, who does not discriminate and is a mentor for many to come.”
He revealed that another invitation to speak at the August House of the UN Assembly on culture and development issues in Ghana and Africa would soon be extended to him as a result of the outstanding leadership of the Golden Stool occupant.
He urged other traditional leaders to imitate the good illustration of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II with the goal that the image of Ghana and Africa would be promoted around the world.
