At its first meeting of the year, the Asanteman Council, which is led by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, discussed a number of topics that are helpful to the council.
Nearly all of the council’s selected kings, queens, and elders attended this first meeting in order to participate in the discussions. Among them are Nana Kwame Baffoe, Nkoranzahene, and Nana Akosa Yiadom III, Denyaasehene, who took the oath of allegiance in front of the council.
A number of topics were covered, including Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s creation of a committee to oversee Queen’s welfare conditions. According to Otumfuo, this will be the first step in ensuring their well-being and preserving the dignity of stools.

A committee to look into a chieftaincy dispute in the Bobriase Traditional Area was also formed during the meeting, which took place on January 13, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace.
