Black Stars of Ghana winger Osman Bukari has revealed that he has had a long-standing interest in Major League Soccer (MLS), which was the inspiration for his recent move to Austin FC.
From Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade, the 25-year-old winger signed a three-year contract with the Texas-based club as a Designated Player.
Following his high-profile transfer, Bukari, who arrived in Texas on June 25 is now scheduled to begin his journey with Austin FC.
“Since last year I was thinking of playing in MLS, so when this offer came I didn’t want to say no to it. Austin is a beautiful city.”
Bukari addressed the fans, expressing his joy at playing for Austin FC, saying:
“I am really excited to be here and I can’t wait to be on the pitch. I can see amazing fans, and I will be very happy to play in front of you. I hope very soon I will be on the pitch.”
After a successful time with Red Star Belgrade, where he helped the team win back-to-back doubles in Serbia, Bukari has signed with Austin FC. His critical commitments, including scoring key goals, were instrumental in Red Star’s new triumphs.
