Mamelodi Sundowns and South Africa defender Motjeka Madisha has passed on right off the bat Sunday, December 13 in the wake of slithering out of a burning vehicle wreckage following an accident.

The 25-year-old was one of two occupants of the vehicle that ran out of control, hit a nearby advertising board and burst into flames in eastern Johannesburg, as per the report.

According to reliable account of the sad incident, there was an awful scene with one body burnt to the point of being unrecognized. Be that as it may, the South Africa defender figured out how to creep out of the burning vehicle, but was proclaimed dead by clinical staff at the location of the accident.

Motjeka Madisha is the second Sundowns defender to bite the dust in a fender bender within two months after Anele Ngcongca, close to the eastern city of Durban.

Ngcongca went through nine years with Belgian club Genk and was credited to French outfit Troyes prior to getting back to South Africa four years ago.

Madisha was capped 13 times by South Africa on the back of becoming an established first choice centre-back in a Sundowns team that has been among the strongest in Africa during the past five years.

Mamelodi Sundowns won the 2016 CAF Champions League and have been semi-finalists once and quarter-finalists twice since.

Sundowns won the Premiership-FA Cup-League Cup three times in South Africa last season and are top of the table after six rounds of the new league campaign.
