Bank Of Ghana Is Now A Member Of NGFS

The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has been conceded as a member of the Central Banks and Supervisors Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS) with effect from fourteenth December, 2021.

Ghana is presently one of 105 NGFS member institutions including seven (7) world estabished ones to assist with reinforcing the global reaction needed to meet the requirements of Bank of Ghana’s Sustainable Banking Principles and Sector Guidance Notes in endeavors in such manner.

BOG’s solicitation to join its members, the NGFS perceived the BoG’s commitment to
other national banks/administrative experts in Africa (BCEAO, Egypt, Mauritius, Morocco) of environmentaly supportable turn of events.

The Bank of Ghana’s work is to assist with advancing a more reasonable and strong monetary system and economy in Ghana and anticipate working with other members to promote global invovement in the Sustainable Banking and Finance Network.

The NGFS is a gathering of national banks and financial sector supervisors from around the world.

Bank of Ghana sees its participation of the NGFS as an essential chance to improve and elevate best practices to be executed within and outside of the Membership of the network.
