As part of his campaign, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), visited the Kpone Katamanso, Ashiaman, and Krowor constituencies on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.
Dr. Bawumia engaged with the Imams, Traditional Leaders, Youth, Clergy and the people of these constituencies on government’s achievements as well as his vision and policies for Ghana’s next page.
He revealed the enormous policies he intends to carry out if elected President in the forthcoming December elections.
During his interaction with people, he declared his policies which includes— free tertiary education for persons living with disability, tax amnesty, flat rate at the ports, training of 1,000,000 youth in IT, and harnessing of solar and wind power to reduce the high demand on electric energy.
He also added that, there will be zero duty on solar panels, repositioning of Ghana’s education towards STEM and AI, one student one laptop for tertiary students, credit score system, expansion of educational infrastructure, easy passport acquisition with the GhanaCard, among others.

He expressed that, acquiring passport in Ghana has been a overwhelming task for many citizens, if he becomes the first gentleman of the land, he will ensure it becomes a simple process for all.
He expressed appreciation to the people of Kpone Katamanso for their invaluable advice on a more collaborative approach to national development and has urged them to vote for him and their respective NPP Parliamentary Candidates in the upcoming December 7 general elections.
