On April 4, 2025, Beyoncé and Jay-Z commemorated their 17th wedding anniversary. Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mother, posted a touching remembrance on Instagram. She praised the couple’s ongoing love and capacity to rise above outside adversity by sharing a montage of old footage of them together, synced to Beyoncé’s 2006 ballad “Still in Love (Kissing You).”
The pair remained quite private as they reflected on their wedding day. On April 4, 2008, they held a small ceremony at Jay-Z’s Tribeca loft, which was attended by about 40 close friends and family members. To ensure privacy, guests were asked to turn in their phones.
At the time, among the notable attendees were Jay-Z’s mother, grandmother, sister, and niece; Beyoncé’s parents, Tina and Mathew Knowles; her sister, Solange; and friends, including Chris Martin, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams.
