Billie Eilish has acknowledged that she feels uneasy whenever she falls in love. The singer was open about her power and control issues in a recent interv. Eilish had a brief relationship with Jesse Rutherford in the past, but the two parted ways in less than a year.
Discussing her point of view about love, the singer expressed that she feels very weak when she falls head over heels.
The ‘Bad Boy’ singer revealed in a recent interview with Interview Magazine that she despises herself whenever she falls in love. She revealed that she cherishes being wild, confessing to her power and control issues. She says that being romantically vulnerable makes her very uncomfortable, so she doesn’t like it.
“I have a power issue and a control issue, and I also don’t like being vulnerable in a romantic way. It makes me feel uncomfortable, and I don’t know how many times I’ve really been in love. I think there are different versions of love, and I think that you can be in love and it might not be deep,” Eilish shared.
Eilish furthermore remarked that she has never been unloaded, as she is the one who has consistently separated in her past relationships. She added that occasionally it’s vital to split things up when you know that your relationship isn’t working.
Discussing her most recent album, ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’, Eilish shared that a ton of her tunes in the album are drawn from her own experiences, from circumstances where she would prefer to be tormented inside but would put off a cool cover for the rest of the world. She revealed that other songs from her album mirror the possibility that she may be leaning towards casualness.
The singer admitted that she does love and care about her loved ones, but that she never expresses her needs when she is in a relationship. Eilish acknowledged that she resented herself for not taking a stand in these circumstances. “I come off as a person that doesn’t care. I care about people and I have love and passion, but in relationships, I found myself never ever expressing any of my needs… It’s almost like I resent myself for not advocating for myself, because maybe if I had, things would’ve changed. But I’ve always had an issue with weakness.”
