Billionaire Dies After A Strange ‘Bee Incident’

Sunjay Kapur passed out in front of his colleagues

According to reports, a rich buddy of Prince William passed away after mistakenly swallowing a bee.

During the game at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor, 53-year-old Sunjay Kapur passed out in front of his colleagues.

After getting stung in the mouth, which may have caused anaphylactic shock, the Indian-born Mr. Kapur was believed to have suffered a deadly heart attack.

Hours earlier, Mr. Kapur, head of the multinational auto parts company Sona Comstar, had extended condolences to the victims of yesterday’s tragic Air India airline crash online.

He shared:

Terrible news of the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad. My thoughts and prayers are with all the families affected. May they find strength in this difficult hour.’

In a statement, Sona Comstar said:

‘We are deeply saddened by the sudden demise of our Chairman, Mr Sunjay Kapur. He was a visionary leader whose passion, insight and dedication shaped the identity and success of our company.’

The businessman who sadly passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, has received barrage of tributes from friends and business partners.

Prior to his death, Priya Sachdev Kapur was his second wife. In earlier interviews, Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, Mr. Kapur’s ex-wife, mentioned that he played polo with the Prince of Wales.

The former model and businesswoman Priya Sachdev Kapur married the University of Buckingham graduate, and the two produced a son named Azarias Kapur in 2018.

Mr. Kapur passed away as his Aureus squad was playing the Sujan Indian Tigers in the Cartier Queen’s Cup semifinal.

On Tuesday, the game got underway at the club’s Smith’s Lawn grounds at 3 p.m.

The Royal family has a close relationship with the club. From the club’s founding in January 1955 until his passing in April 2021, Prince Philip served as its president for 66 years. Last year, King Charles was elected as the club’s new president.

Mr. Kapur, 53, served as chairman of Sona Comstar, a multinational auto components company. Mr. Kapur has been characterized as a frequent player on the royal family’s preferred polo circuit.

With facilities in India, the US, China, Mexico, and Serbia, his multinational automotive company Sona Comsta supplied essential components to the electric car sector.

In addition, Mr. Kapur served as co-chair of the Manufacturing Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry and president of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India.

Members of the Royal Family, such as King Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry, have regularly played at the Guards Club, which has been called “the most renowned polo club in the world.”

Originally known as the Household Brigade Polo Club, British Army officers serving in regiments within the Household Division were customarily spared from paying the £45,000 joining fee.

In terms of membership and grounds, it is currently the biggest polo club in Europe. It changed its name in 1969 and became “a totally civilian club” in 2000.

The club plays about 600 games annually, with the season beginning in April and ending in mid-September.
