Bisa Abrewa: One Of The Largest Private Museums In The World

If you haven’t been to Bisa Abrewa Museum, you’re probably missing out on a lot more.

You will feel refreshed when you enter this private museum in Ghana for the first time, because of the emotions, atmosphere, and sculptural representations of wood, clay, cement, paintings, photographs, and more.

The Bisa Abrewa Museum is in Nkontompo, Ghana, in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis, Western Region.

There are approximately 2,200 African heroes-related artifacts in the museum.

The civil rights movement and other Black individuals from the French, Portuguese, and Spanish Caribbean are also depicted in sculpture and photographs.

It is believed that the Museum houses one of the largest private collections of African-themed artifacts, audiovisual works, and sculptures.

The New Look Of The Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park

On July 28, 2019, it was opened by Ghana’s current first lady, Rebecca Akuffo Addo, with a number of government officials and traditional leaders present.

Kwaw Ansah, an award-winning filmmaker, the founder and first CEO of TV Africa, curated Bisa Abrewa, which literally translates to “ask the old woman.”

The primary goal of the artifact collections, which began 40 years ago, was to provide generations of visitors, particularly Ghanaians, with additional information about the past so that they could make informed decisions.

Numerous people have visited the Museum up until this time.
