Black Business Executives Are Considering How To Deal With Donald Trump’s Administration

Black business leaders are trying to understand why Vice President Kamala Harris lost the presidential election following Donald Trump’s victory.

Many of them are also preparing for a second Trump administration and their next course of action.

Voters’ decision in this election were influenced by economic concerns.

The majority of Black business executives are considering how to deal with President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming administration.

Unfortunately for them, the electorate wanted that.

It’s clear what factors led to Trump’s victory. According to the election, people are fed up with cultural conflicts and are more interested in economic and kitchen table issues.

Black voters in battleground states like North Carolina and Wisconsin favored Trump in large part because of his economic policies.

Nonetheless, loads of people think Harris’ loss was primarily caused by her gender and race. These concerned Americans are ready to keep fighting against racism and sexism, which are major issues.

Following Trump’s victory, a number of Black business owners expressed their disappointment on social media.

These dissatisfied business owners claim that equity and inclusion funds that were set aside specifically for women or Black people may be in jeopardy.

In fact, there was a significant change from the fervent online support for Harris and the potential of her administration in the days prior to the elections.

The outcomes have “drowned” a number of people. Alphonso David, CEO of the Global Black Economic Forum, expressed his disappointment with the outcome but encouraged by the Black voter turnout.

“As the dust settles, we — the advocates for economic equality — will continue to do the hard work to realize a nation reflects its written principles of fairness, justice and equality,” David stated.

It’s interesting to note that some people believe that Trump’s second term presents an opportunity for Americans of color.

We Owe Loyalty To The Constitution And God— Kamala Harris

In a statement released on Thursday, November 7, the National Alliance for Black Businesses claimed to have rallied 100 Black organizations in favor of the president-elect’s economic platform.

“Based on previous experience, [Trump] has a successful track record working with and supporting Black business owners,” said Dr. Kenneth Harris, CEO of National Business League, a member of NABB.

“We had tremendous success in terms of federal contracting opportunities … we were able to work very closely with the United States Small Business Administration and the Executive Office of the White House to support Black businesses.”
