In anticipation of the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which will be held in Morocco from July 5 to July 26, 2025, the Black Queens of Ghana are stepping up their preparations.
The team has been actively participating in training camps to improve tactical awareness, physical fitness, and team cohesiveness under the direction of head coach Kim Lars Björkegren, who was hired in January 2025.
In March, Senegal hosted a noteworthy nine-day intensive training camp that gave the team invaluable match experience and a chance to evaluate player performance in competitive environments.
The Black Queens will play two international friendly matches against Côte d’Ivoire on May 30 and June 3, 2025, as part of their last preparations. The purpose of these games is to give the squad competitive match practice and help them hone their tactics before the event.
