Former Black Stars player Augustine Arhinful claims that the Black Stars, Ghana’s national football team, have a bright future ahead of them.

Arhinful emphasized in an interview with Citi FM on Friday, October 11, that the team has the potential to rise again with the right mindset and strategic planning, despite the challenges they face right now.

Arhinful was extremely hopeful things are before long going to pivot for Ghana’s senior national football team.

“There is hope, I think the Black Stars can never be a ship, because the ship will sink and sink forever. It will be even difficult to salvage it but this is sports and so you can have phases where you will go down.

“Your performance will not be encouraging, but with the right mindset and plan, I am sure you will be able to revive, come back, and be where you are expected to be,” Arhinful stated.

The Black Stars have received a lot of criticism recently for their poor play, which has prevented them from winning any of their last two games played so far.

Arhinful, on the other hand, believes that the team’s difficulties are a normal part of sports. He stated that they need to maintain a positive outlook and concentrate on long-term goals.

He continued,

The ship is not sinking, there is a future but we need to first of all plan and plan well.

On Thursday October 10 at the Accra Sports Stadium, the Black Stars faced Sudan in an AFCON qualifying match.

Much were expected from them to beat the Sudanese to boost their possibilities of qualifying to the 2025 competition in Morocco.

However, the match ended goalless, and Ghana missed numerous chances to score, raising concerns about their qualification.
