Black Stars Play Against The Super Eagles In A Friendly

Plans for a friendly game between Ghana’s Black Stars and Nigeria’s Super Eagles are being finalized by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

This game serves as a warm-up for Nigeria’s pivotal September 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying encounter against South Africa.

The friendly is slated to happen in Europe in June 2025 at an undetermined location.

The Super Eagles defeated Ghana 2-1 in their last meeting in Morocco in March 2024.

At first, Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle had planned to set up a friendly game with Zambia. However, in order to properly prepare for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) decided to play a high-profile match against Ghana.
