Black Stars Team Will Need Time To Adjust Playing With One Another – Otto Addo

Black Stars lead trainer Otto Addo has asked Ghanaians to show restraint toward the new set of players as they would require time to fit and cooperate.

On Monday, June 10, Otto Addo led his young team to a 4-3 victory over Central African Republic in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying Match.

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku got one goal, whilst Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew scored a hat-trick in the victory at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Jordan and Thomas Partey are the only two of only a couple of experienced players in the current Black Stars team.

“I hope that Ghanaians give us time. It’s always difficult because after this, the guys will be on a break and then coached with different ideas and then I will come with different ideas too,” Otto Addo said.

“It’s always difficult because I always look at the opponent and see what solutions are best. I can guarantee you that the approach to our next game will also be determined by how our opponents play.”

“The players are very young but they will grow and learn to adapt. They will recognise the right situations and make the right decisions with time,” Otto Addo added.

After four games, Ghana has nine points and is now in first place in Group I, along with Comoros.
