In Sweden, Bolt and JBCharge have teamed up to open the country’s first EV charging station.
The hub increases access to ultra-fast charging options in crowded city centers and helps drivers save time by providing ultra-fast chargers that can add up to 150 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes.
By facilitating easy, convenient, and reasonably priced electric vehicle charging for ride-hailing drivers, Bolt is well-positioned to promote low-emission transportation.
In addition to the actual charging time, Electric Vehicle (EV) drivers in Stockholm currently frequently spend up to thirty minutes every day looking for and traveling to a charger.
The new charging hub, however, will take on this challenge head-on. Its central location and four lightning-fast 150KW chargers enable drivers to swiftly charge their cars, increasing their range by up to 150 km in just ten minutes.
Up to 200 electric vehicles can be accommodated at the hub, which is conveniently open around-the-clock and only available to drivers on the Bolt platform. Discounted fast-charging rates are also available to bolt driver partners.
Drivers can maximize their active earning hours and recover valuable time by using the Monta app to virtually queue for their next charging session while they are still driving.
The primary obstacle to the adoption of electric vehicles, according to 72% of drivers, is the availability and cost of charging stations.
Due to lower operating costs, nearly 60% of Bolt driver partners who have made the switch to electric vehicles report higher earnings. This emphasizes how important it is to work together to make sure drivers feel supported throughout this change.
Bolt is committed to helping drivers on their platform have the most seamless and advantageous transition possible. If Bolt’s charging hub pilot project is a success, they plan to extend the project to other parts of Stockholm and beyond.
