Following a €15 million deal from Belgian club Genk, 20-year-old Ghanaian international Christopher Bonsu Baah has officially joined Saudi Pro League team Al-Qadsiah.

The agreement is for four years, ending in 2029.

After thriving in Sarpsborg, Norway, the Genk star relocated to Genk in July 2023. In 90 games in all competitions, he recorded five goals and seven assists.

In his first international game for Ghana, Bonsu Baah earned two caps for the Black Stars in friendly games.

On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, he will be officially unveiled at Al Qadsiah.

This is one of the Saudi Pro League team’s most important acquisitions to date, and they paid a hefty transfer price.

His quick rise—from tryouts at elite teams (Barcelona, United, Dortmund) to success in Norway and Belgium, and now into the Saudi Pro League—is reflected in the transfer.

For their next campaign, Al-Qadsiah views Christopher Bonsu Baah as a crucial offensive player.

It is anticipated that Bonsu Baah would leave a lasting impression with this new team.

Al-Qadsiah’s offense is made more flexible by Bonsu Baah, a left-footed right-winger/attacking midfielder who naturally plays on the right side but is equally at ease in the center.

He was a fantastic fit to stretch defenses and disrupt opposition because he led the league in dribbles and chances created at Sarpsborg and had comparable play at Genk.

He will be expected to contribute creativity, especially in linking play for players like Quiñones and Aubameyang, since he had the second-most chances created at Genk and finished his last Belgian season with three goals and five assists.

Well-known for his defensive work—high duel and tackle numbers—Bonsu Baah will also help lead the press from the front, aligning with coach Míchel’s likely high-intensity game plan.

Bonsu Baah’s four- to five-year contract (until 2029/30) shows that Al-Qadsiah sees him as more than just a depth player.

The Black Stars player has made it clear that his goal is not just financial gain but also advancement, with the goal of improving his game and visibility.

In an effort to add speed and technical flare to their squad after finishing in fourth place, Al Qadsiah signed Christopher Bonsu Baah.
